Your Mission
As a working student for our Voice Assistant #HeyMercedes you will analyze performance, accuracy and latency for different machine learning models for various NLP tasks in an Embedded System. You will work in a cross-functional agile team and closely collaborate with the platform teams to share technical documents about your findings.
Your Profile
Education:
- Currently enrolled as a student in a relevant field (Computer Science/Embedded Systems/ Computational Linguistics or comparable field)
Experience:
- Experience in Python, Jupyter Notebooks and virtual environments
- Basic Knowledge of Linux
- Experience in NLP and platforms like Huggingface
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with CI/CD
- Knowledge of Embedded Systems running on Linux
- Understanding of different metrics for evaluating open source NLP models
- Familiarity with Langchain, Transformers, Sentence Transformers, ONNX or Tensorflow Lite libraries
Personal skills:
- Agile mindset and driven by persistence and passion
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Positive, proactive and enjoy working in a cross-functional team.
- Proficiency in problem solving and troubleshooting engineering tasks
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in fast-paced environment
- Personal initiative, commitment, perseverance and resilience
- Fluent in English, German proficiency is a plus
