The consistent avoidance and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions is a key priority for Mercedes-Benz Group and is reflected in specific targets – including the target to reduce CO2 emissions in production (Scope 1 and Scope 2) by 80% by the year 2030 compared to 2018. Since 2022, Mercedes-Benz Group has also been supporting climate change mitigation projects in an amount equivalent to the remaining CO2 emissions (Scope 1 and Scope 2) from its own sites.
