Your Mission
We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Accountant for our accounting department to carry out the daily processing of the company’s short-term liabilities to its suppliers, ensuring the correctness of the accounting documentation. The role is actively involved in monthly and annual closing processes and contributes to tax reviews as well as external and internal audits.
Sneak preview of your future tasks
- You will perform day-to-day financial transactions with focus on accounts payable.
- You will execute various accounting activities including receiving and verifying vendor invoices, checking and posting expense reports and business travel reports, processing payments, maintaining vendor records, reconciling accounts.
- You will be responsible for the correctness of the respective accounting records.
- You will analyse and control accounting information, ensuring transparency of the effects for various business activities.
- You will participate in the monthly and annual closing processes and contribute to the preparation of various reports.
- You will contribute to the tax reviews as well as external and internal audits.
- You will work collaboratively with all business units in Sofia and with the accounting team in Berlin.
Your Profile
- You have a degree in economics with focus on accounting related fields. Alternatively, you have an accounting certification.
- You have 3+ years of accounting experience in a dynamic work environment, preferably within a corporate framework. Good knowledge of Bulgarian National Accounting Standards, International Financial Reporting Standards and tax regulations.
- You have excellent attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy of accounting information.
- You have solid knowledge of ERP systems and processes, ideally SAP.
- You have very good knowledge in the MS Office, especially in Excel.
- You are proficient in English and Bulgarian; German would be a plus.
- Hands-on mentality.
Nice to have:
- Experience in automotive and/or in a software-driven company.
- You are familiar with Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
