About the role

In this position, you will be working on the core system of software update, which enables keeping the software in our customer’s cars fresh. This role focuses on the embedded part of the system. You will be able to utilize your experience and expertise with the topics like memory, communication, security and alike in shaping the software update service.

 

As a Software Engineer in an agile team, you will develop features as well as design, document, implement, integrate and test your code. Development will typically have C++ and deeply embedded operating system focus and make use of modern tools, technologies, engineering practices and methodologies.

 

Profile

 

Education:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Communication Technology or a comparable qualification

Experience:

  • Programming using C++
  • Experience with embedded Linux and Yocto
  • Experience in low-level development of embedded systems such as firmware update, bootloader and device drivers
  • Experience with version control and CI/CD

Nice to have:

  • Experience with firmware Over-The-Air (FOTA) update, delta updates
  • Experience with in-vehicle infotainment systems
  • Experience with automotive diagnostics
  • Experience with git and Jenkins

  • Proficiency in problem solving and troubleshooting technical issues
  • Excellent organizational, time management, prioritization and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Language skills:

Proficient in English. German is a plus
