As a 100% subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz AG, we develop and integrate the next generation of Mercedes-Benz in-car infotainment systems - based on the Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MBOS), we are responsible for the Mercedes me companion app and we provide seamless & connected mobility experiences while also contributing to the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) platform development.
Software Factory is part of MBition and we provide a large-scale CI/CD environment used to develop the whole Infotainment Platform, the car's Electronic Control Units and many other products, which together are the core of Mercedes-Benz cars. Software Factory is more than just a CI/CD environment. It provides standardization but is also flexible enough to cater for different needs. With the Software Factory, we continuously develop, integrate, deliver and deploy the mobility experience of the future to provide our end-users a fabulous experience. 

As Site Reliability Engineer, you will be part of the Mercedes-Benz Software Factory, building the future of how we create, build, test and deliver automotive software. You will support thousands of engineers by making their work seamless in a very dynamic and complex environment.

Sneak preview of your future tasks
  • Designing, hosting and maintaining a robust CI/CD platform hosted in AWS, built around Gitlab, Jenkins, Gitlab CI and Arifactory for thousands of engineers around the world
Your Profile
  • Hands-on experience with complex infrastructure, preferably cloud platforms such as AWS
  • Experience with hosting and maintaining GitLab, Jenkins, Artifactory or equivalent tools 
  • Experience with "infrastructure as code" best practices using tools like Docker, Terraform or Kubernetes
  • Good understanding about network and security
  • Comfortable working with scripting languages
  • Proficiency in problem solving and troubleshooting technical issues
  • Knowledge in agile methodologies and a rapid development cycle

Nice to have
  • Degree in Computer Science / Engineering, Information Technology or similar fields
  • Familiar with working in a DevOps environment
  • Extensive experience with CI/CD systems
  • Proficiency in Java, Groovy, Python, C#, C/C++ or similar languages
  • Experience with Linux as a development and target platform

  • Being a team player, open to give help and to also ask for help when needed
  • Willingness to take ownership of tasks and strive for the best solutions
Language skills
  • Proficient in English
  • German is a plus
