Engineering Lead for Project Managers (all genders) - Berlin

Your Mission
As the Engineering Lead for Project Managers in the CPO office, you will have three primary tasks:
  1.  Define the roadmap of features that need to be delivered toward our carline customers
  2.  Collaborate with and lead engineering teams, including directly managing project managers 
  3.  Execute and deliver quality software in a timely manner for our customers. 

Defining the roadmap of features that need to be delivered toward our carline customers includes:
  • Collaborating with colleagues Mercedes-Benz Functional Owners/ Marketing and Sales / Engineering teams to construct a competitive feature roadmap.
  • Providing clear communication and direction throughout the entire company (Mercedes and MBition) on the timeline for engineering development.
  • Being an evangelist for our timeline and push internal and external teams to deliver world-class products at a world-class pace. 
Collaborate and lead engineering teams, including managing project managers include:
  • Organize the Project Managers under the CPO office to cover critical topics for Gen20x.i2, i3, and RSU projects. 
  • Collaborating with our customers (Carlines), Mercedes-Benz Project Managers to prioritize our deliverables
  • Unblocking execution issues toward our commitments (including solving personnel, technical, and business related blockers).
Execute and deliver quality software in a timely manner for our customers include :
  • Driving of each release toward our carlines, and unblocking any possible issue that could delay our deliveries
  • Monitoring and constructing metrics regarding the quality of our software and judging what improvements must be made 
  • Communicating status of our software and addressing concerns from our stakeholders. 
Your Profile

  • Extensive experience leading and managing embedded and cloud software teams.
  • Extensive experience delivering products to market
  • Extensive experience software strategy and product development. 
  • Extensive experience in Automotive Infotainment development and design.
  • Proficiency in English and German
  • A can-do attitude to solve challenging problems
