Your Mission
The IT- & IT-Security Team is managing & securing the infrastructure in use for the business administration departments and the developers of in-vehicle software. We are a fast growing group of experts in different areas, but acting as a strong team.
Sneak preview of your future tasks
  • You will be responsible for the IT-workplace needs of MBition developers and accountable for implementing the infrastructure to fulfill the development team's requirements.
  • Provide hardware equipment for testing- & software development activities (build servers)
  • Ensure compliance and patching of equipment
  • Take ownership for a “best developer workplace”, eliminating performance issues, security risks and offering the development teams a high performance workplace.
  • Bring in your hands-on expertise and provide Linux Expert Support when required
  • Act as interface to third party suppliers and Daimler where the developer workplace is involved.
  • Define and implement appropriate processes for MBition Developers to ensure compliance with security standards in combination with workplace equipment, either standard or non-standard-equipment. 
  • Act as expert and spokesperson representing MBitions’ development teams and support the in the best way you can
  • Oversee infrastructure transformation projects, ensuring the endeavors are on time, budget and expected quality
Your Profile
  • You successfully completed your studies in IT or Engineering. 
  • 5+ years of work experience in a complex environment
  • 2+ years of work experience in management of external service providers
  • 3+ years of IT experience with focus on Linux Operating Systems
  • Work experience in a corporate environment is crucial, startup experience is a plus
  • Experience with the design and negotiation of contracts with external service providers
  • Proven experience in designing/managing infrastructure, including areas such as network, servers, security and desktop services
  • Experience in supplier management, computing services (such as cloud providers) and IT consultants

  • You have a winning-attitude and willing to learn all the time
  • You take ownership and initiatives improving the support of all mbitioneers
  • You are fascinated by open source operating systems, like Linux.
  • You are solution oriented and pragmatic in your approach
  • You love working in a diverse team

Language skills
  • Proficient in English, German is a plus!
