Product Owner for Software Factory for AMG (all genders) - Berlin

Your Mission
As a Product Owner for AMG you will be working on MBition’s Software Factory (SwF), a large scaled CI/CD environment. You will be part of the team developing ECU's (electronic control unit) for AMG, which control the electric motors, inverters, battery and active aerodynamics, all of which are at the core of achieving an outstanding driving performance in AMG vehicles. You will enable software developers to use the latest and greatest engineering practices to achieve the best developer experience.
You will join a collaborative and agile team with a mixture of all experience levels, nationalities and genders. You will also have the opportunity to develop yourself with a provided budget for further education and shape your career within MBition. Remote work within Germany is possible.
Sneak preview of your future tasks
  • Drive the vision and strategic direction of your product
  • Act as an interface of the team to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure the high level plan is aligned with customer needs and accepted by the stakeholder
  • Lead the definition of features for the backlog and set priorities
  • Support your team(s) in understanding the backlog features
  • Collaborate with other product owners and the system product owner
  • Lead identification of dependencies between features and maintain a visualization of the system’s anatomy
Your Profile
  • At least 3 years of experience in the Product Owner role for complex software products
  • Extensive experience with agile practices, Scrum and a rapid development cycle
  • Extensive experience managing expectations from various stakeholders 
  • Solid knowledge of the Atlassian stack, especially Jira and Confluence
  • Experience in the DevOps culture
Nice to have:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Communication Technology
  • Understanding of challenges and constraints within the automotive domain and processes
  • Experience with large-scale Agile frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, Scrum@Scale)
  • Software development skills (for example C++, Python, Java) and modern software development practices
Personal skills:
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills 
  • Excellent team player with experience in motivating teams for achieving excellence
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Personal initiative, commitment and ownership
  • Excellent organizational, time management and prioritisation skills
Language skills:
  • Proficient in English, German is a plus.
