Your Mission
We are seeking to build a license management team from the ground up so we need ambitious and hard-working people with a passion for software licensing and therefore don’t adhere to strict role descriptions for this team. We will instead it will be offering the possibility to structure your new role according to your own experience. The license management team will be an integral part of the supply chain, which will make these roles very varied with a lot of attention from relevant stakeholders, such as procurement, developers, suppliers and function owners. A strong focus will be set on both FOSS and proprietary software licensing, including necessary compliance. Please be aware that experience in car development is not necessary but appreciated. Candidates with a vested interest in the field but experience from other industries are equally welcome to apply.

  • License management throughout the wider organisation and along the supply chain
  • Aiding other departments with general licensing and compliance questions

Your Profile
You have either successfully completed your studies with a focus on (business) law, (software) engineering, business studies or a related field, or have comparable relevant education or significant expertise that enables you to fill this role.
You have hands-on experience in either license and/or rights management (with enough legal education to be able to understand and process contracts) or purchasing with a focus on contracting.
For the purchasing role: extensive experience in software purchasing is necessary. 
You understand the different models of software licensing or alternative rights management with an interest in software development.
Nice to have:
  • Experience with software patents and/or FOSS is desirable.

  • You have a hands-on mentality of getting things done, combined with a support and process-oriented mind-set. 
  • You can flexibly integrate in both corporate as well as agile inspired teams.
  • You are self-directed and comfortable working in a remote team environment.
  • You are able to structure your own working day and work load to perform against tight deadlines with success.
Language skills:
  • English (B2 or higher) language skills with both business and technical terminology
  • German (optional but helpful)
