HMI Test Lead Developer (all genders) - Berlin

Your Mission
You will contribute to the development and integration of our first-in-class in-vehicle infotainment system MBUX - using various technologies, frameworks, and interfaces. You are part of the UI enabler team which is responsible for bringing the MBUX UI to the latest and greatest hardware. As UI teams, we are responsible that the UI runs on all HW variants. Almost the complete end-user functionality of the infotainment unit is experienced through the graphical user interface, therefore our team needs to provide testing capabilities to the specialists within many different teams.
You will be responsible to provide the fundamentals of UI testing for the other teams in different scenarios, e.g. for integration as well as end to end test. This includes the testing within the virtualized CI / CD infrastructure as well as on hardware targets and vehicles. Tests will also be conducted on different architectural (unit, component, system) levels. These can be simple component tests as well as complex squish or even robot tests.
Sneak preview of your future tasks
  • Set up automation tests for the following scenarios
    1. integration of new versions
    2. basic feature tests
  • Using the following methodologies
    1. Squish
    2. Robot FWK
  • You should focus on the groundwork for testers and test developers, instead of writing tests
  • Pipeline management
  • Optimisation of test execution, e.g. runtime, false positives … 
Your Profile
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Communication Technology or a comparable qualification
  • Squish / Qt / QML
  • Test automation
  • Robot framework
  • Jenkins 
  • Documentation and how-tos
Personal skills
  • Proficiency in problem solving and troubleshooting technical issues
  • Excellent organizational, time management, prioritization and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical skills and an independent, structured, and target-oriented approach to work
  • Well-developed communication and teamwork skills
Language skills:
  • Proficient in English. German is a plus
