Chief Operations Officer (all genders) - Berlin

Your Mission
  • As COO, you are responsible to define the HOW of our work within MBition including HR and Business Administration as well as external parties and partners
  • Define strategy, scaling and day-to-day workflow over all departments for user-centered development of ultimately delivering our products
  • Drive our internal program "Best Developer Experience" which isn't limited solely to our developers but includes all employees
  • Facilitates the understanding that only motivated and empowered employees can give their best
  • Drive agile principles and our way-of-working within MBition and promote it to our partners for improved collaboration interfaces
  • Collaborate and form partnerships with external and internal stakeholders to fulfill our commitments
  • Define and build the COO Office which is the multiplier and supporter for your tasks
  • Part of the MBition management board
Your Profile
  • Masters in software engineering, computer science or equivalent degree with required additional business administration degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years working in business leadership role
  • Responsible for the successful launch and operations of at least one major product globally (min. 100.000 customers)
  • Ideal candidate brings extensive first-hand experience in building tech business departments and successfully driving it
  • First-hand experience in state-of-the-art development practices (CI/CD, DevOps, end-to-end testing, developer feedback in a multi-team setup)
Personal skills
  • Strong technical and process background, ideally in automotive software
  • Strong project- and stakeholder management skills
  • You quickly acquire and understand new skills and knowledge and apply them to your work
  • You see how you’d like customers, teams, technology, and competitors to relate years into the future
  • Leadership experience in an agile organization. You define goals and strategies, motivate, assess and manage
  • You're driven to learn relentlessly, eager to try things out, learn fast from them and improve for the next iteration
  • Fluency in English and ideally a good knowledge of German
  • Communication skills in writing and public speaking are stellar
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
