Senior Software Engineer in Test (all genders) - Berlin

Your Mission
You will join a collaborative and agile team with a mixture of all experience levels, nationalities and genders. We are

As a Software Engineer in Test (all genders) you will be working on MBition’s Software Factory (SwF), a large scaled
CI/CD environment which is used to develop the whole Infotainment Platform, the car's main five ECU's (electronic
control unit) and many other products building together the core of a Mercedes-Benz car. You will be developing a
modular and flexible test automation framework which enables software developers to automate tests on different
levels. It is more than just a CI/CD environment: It provides standard ways to do things but is flexible enough to
cater for different ways of doing the same thing. With the SwF we continuously develop, integrate, deliver and
deploy the mobility experience of the future to provide our end-users the whole experience. You will enable
software developers to use latest and greatest engineering practices to achieve the best developer experience. You
will have the opportunity to develop yourself with a provided budget for further education and shape your career
within MBition.
Sneak preview of your future tasks
In our agile team, you will be responsible for
  • Designing robust solutions in our CI/CD environment reusable across teams and projects
  • Identifying performance and stability improvements for the CI/CD infrastructure and implementing them
  • Support other teams with troubleshooting in case of instability or downtime by means of privileged access
  • to the CI/CD environment
  • Consult development teams how to use test framework and CI/CD products in the best way
Your Profile
  • Degree in Computer Science or a comparable field

  • Working experience as Software Engineer 3+ years
  • Strong foundation in software architecture, engineering and continuous integration
  • Solid knowledge in Python, Linux, Docker and Git
  • Experience with code reviews, and strong supporter of inner source
  • Experience in test driven development
  • Testing Background / Experience in test-automation

Nice to have
  • ISTQB Certification
  • Knowledge of Test Processes (preferably ASPICE)
  • Experience in Robot Framework
  • Knowledge about Embedded Systems in automotive
  • Experience with virtualization and hypervisors (e.g. QEMU, Silver, ESXi)
